Understanding the Mountains of Influence

There is a question every serious believer eventually has to face. Not just "what do I do with my life?" but something deeper. The question is: where has God specifically positioned me to make a difference? The Mountains of Influence framework was built to help answer that question.

What Are the Mountains of Influence? Society is shaped by twelve key domains that together determine the culture, values, and direction of any nation. Arts and Entertainment, Family, Social Reformation, Governance and Politics, Health, Business and Finance, Law Enforcement and Legal, Science and Technology, Agriculture, Media, Religion, and Education. These mountains are not neutral. They are either being shaped by people who carry the values of the Kingdom, or by those who do not. Someone is always at the top of every mountain, setting the tone for everyone below. The question is not whether these mountains will be influenced. They will be. The question is who will do the influencing.

Why This Matters for You The burden you carry for a broken justice system is not accidental. The fire you feel when you see children in failing schools is not random. The restlessness you feel when entertainment degrades rather than elevates is not just sensitivity. These things are signposts pointing you toward your mountain. Every person was created with a specific sphere of influence in mind. Not to impact every mountain equally, but to go deep on one or two, carrying such a combination of passion, gifting, and vision for that space that your presence there changes it. That is what this assessment is designed to surface.

What the Assessment Does The Mountains of Influence Test is not a personality quiz. It is a discernment tool built around ten dimensions of calling, including what you are passionate about, what you do naturally, what you are willing to sacrifice, what problem keeps you awake at night, and where you naturally step into leadership. It comes in two versions. The Short version is sixty questions and gives a reliable result quickly. The Full version is one hundred and twenty questions presented in randomised order, which reduces bias and produces a more accurate profile. Both versions generate a downloadable PDF report identifying your Primary, Secondary, and Third mountain, with a full narrative and score breakdown across all twelve mountains.

Your Mountain Is Your Assignment Knowing your primary mountain does not restrict you. It focuses you. A person called to Education expresses their burden for justice by reforming curricula and producing graduates who go on to transform every mountain they touch. A person called to Business expresses their faith by building enterprises that demonstrate kingdom values in the marketplace. Your mountain is not where your concern for the world ends. It is where your assignment begins.
